Pictures from an Exhibition
Our exhibition was a great success with lots of visitors paying complements about the students work.
It's quite daunting walking into the empty rooms on Friday morning at 9.30pm and then opening to the public at 2 pm. Everyone worked very hard at setting up individual displays (Textile Inspirations course), group displays (Journal Days course) and hanging quilts (Block of the Month course) and we were all ready to meet and greet our visitors on time.

I thought you would like to see some of the work that was on display. It is always such an exciting journey for all of the students and the exhibition is a great way to celebrate their success. Here are some images of students' work from my Textile Inspirations course.
Fossils inspired Sheila to develop ideas for a wallhanging

Ruth has been most prolific this year
Judith's work has been inspired by seaweed and her travels

Dragonflies inspired Kathy this year

Some of Jan's work inspired by trees in her garden

Tricia's display inspired by seaweed
Jill was inspired by Aboriginal art
Ineke is working with the four seasons

Tulips were Sue's inspiration

I will post images of work from my other courses later.

  1. The exhibition looks wonderful, Edwina! Your groups' work is beautiful.

  2. Wonderful work and very pleasingly displayed. It is so edifying to have a group of "friends" to work with. Creativity is exponential.

  3. Thank you all for your very positive comments about the exhibition. I will pass them on to my students tomorrow.
